The backup format from 7.5 to 8.x changed, you need to convert your backups with
    /usr/local/psa/bin/backup-convert

    Hi,

Thanks I managed to solve this yesterday. Backup-convert does do the trick.

For anyone else if you want more details here's how I did it.

Use putty or some other program to get to the server. Log in then type su - this will log you into the root.

Now find your backup files on the server. Mine were in obscure directories /var/lib/psa/dumps/1/1 and /var/lib/psa/dumps/1/3

I then got into the /var/lib/psa/dumps/1/3 directory and typed the following

    /usr/local/psa/bin/backup-convert convert -o backupnew backupold

Where "backupnew" can be anything you want and "backupold" is the actual name of your existing backup file.

It created a new backup file which is recognised when I go to the PLESK panel. I then just restore as normal.

    Cheers,
    Travis
