• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

8.3 Beta Can't Access the Control Panel

I've just recently installed Plesk 8.3 Beta on my Windows Server 2008 RC0 server.

I can access the control panel properly on my server (localhost) but it won't work externally. I suspect the https (Secure HTTP) protocol to be the problem, as I've already opened the port 8443.

Accessing my server on the port :8443 will just timeout the request. Nothing happens.

Hello link22009,

Thank you for the interest in our Plesk 8.3 Beta Program.

Please be sure port 8443 is allowed through Windows Firewall.

Excellent Solution

Hello Sergius.

I can't believe the solution was that simple. I seem to have forgotten all about the built-in firewall. Thank you for the reply and of course, the solution :).

Sergius,

if I install the beta now and after the version 8.3 becomes stable will I be able just run the installer over the beta version (upgrade) or not?

No, Plesk 8.3 beta is not upgradable.
