I'm sorry but i'm saturated i need to move or copy all files and directores from one level to level up, for example. Copy all files and dir with its permissions from /backup to /

I have shell access. Please someone would write the code.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure why you would want to move all the files from /backup out to the root, but you would use the 'cp' command.

Basic usage:

cp [OPTION]... SOURCE... DEST

cp [OPTION]... SOURCE... DIRECTORY

If you use the '-a' option, it will keep ownership and permissions intact.

Are you sure you really want to clutter up your root directory??
