• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Access database writes?

How do I set WRITE permissions for MS Access databases from within Plesk?

At the moment I have to log into Win2k3 and manually set the guest user's write permissions. I hope there's a way within Plesk that my clients can do it for themselves, and not get me do it?

The databases are being accessed by ASP dsn-less ado connections

Use the filemanager in Plesk

To set permissions from within Plesk go to the filemanager and then navigate to the folder og the file.

web content is located in the hpptdocs folder.

On the right side of the screen there is a key. Clik it and set write permission.
