Access Denied RE: SSH into Conf folder

As the title suggest when I attemp to CD CONF while logged in with SSH i get an access denied error returned to me.

The SSH account i'm using has bin/bash access.

Is there something else i need to setup before i can properly SSH into the folder?

perhaps you need to set the permissions so that you can go there ...

but is it really neccessary - or even apropriate to do so? there (i guess) are the config-files for this domain - no need to change them from a ssh session
