Access Webmail without setting DNS...

Hi,

Is there a generic url for accessing Horde Webmail?

For example, I transfer a domain to another host, but I want to access to the mails that are archived on the old host.

Would be nice if something like https://IP.OF.SERVER/webmail would do the trick...

Thanks for the information!

That, depending on your horde configuration, will not work for you. Horde, by default, is set to determine the domain you're attempting to login for from the http headers. Even if accessing via http://webmail.x.x.x.x, where x = the ip (which, btw, is not possible), it wouldn't be able to determine the domain you're trying to login for.

Have you considered transferring all the e-mails to the new server? I've had experience in doing so a few times, it's a bit of hassle, but it's sometimes worth the trouble... Course, you've gotta watch permissions and ownership, but beyond that, everything should work for you..
