acronis installa fails .net Service pack

trying to install the Acronis pro pack which I just paid $900 for. fails because it apparently can't find the .net 2.0 installation.

.net 2.0 is installed. but has been updated to SP1 and this apparently has changed the registry keys that installers commonly use to tell if the framework is installed or not.

any workarounds that anyone has tried?

also Parallels should update this exe's to take this into account. because I doubt very much that it is isolated to the Acronis package.

Is it possible to get a refund as no one seems to be particularly interested in solving this issue. I have purchased the product and due to plesks exe I can't install it, paid plesk for a plesk exe that dosent work.
