• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Activate mail service on domain not available

iantresman

Basic Pleskian
I can't seem to disable mail for certain domains.

a. In a particular webspace, under the Mail tab, there is the option "Change Settings" with a checkbox "Activate mail service on domain". But this seems to apply to the whole webspace, not a particular domain.

b. Under the "Websites & Domains" tab, all the domain aliases have an option to switch off Email, but their parent domain does not.

My host said that they had use the Plesk Command line tool to disable email for a Webspace domain. It would be better if this was available in the Power User View Control Panel (like it is for a domain's aliases).

Thanks for the confirmation. But it seems that there are two workarounds:

1. It works for aliased domains, so you could make your domain an alias
2. There is a command line utility that enables this.

So I'd like to make this a feature request.
