• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Adding a DNS Server

Hi, I recently started using linux and got myself a dedicated box and installed plesk.

Up to now, everything seems to be running fine. The only thing I don't know how to do is the following.

Plesk acts as the master dns server for each domain that is setup. That is fine.
But is it possible to create a secondary dns server on the same machine just with a different IP?

I would also like to change the master dns ip address. and keep the current ip address of the server as the main server address. eg: control.domain.com

I would like to setup ns1.domain.com & ns2.domain.com all on the same server using 2 different ips which are already on the machine. Is this possible?

Sorry, but it is absolutely not clear what is purpose of existence of two nameservers on one physical server?
