  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Adding MySQL database to domain - not happening as expected

A

Adnams

Guest
I have been trying to add a database to a domain using Plesk and I have gone through the procedure as described in the Plesk documentation, adding a database called db_hydemill from the Domains --> Hydemill screen.

To that I then added two users, hyde_admin and hyde_query, the intention being to have one for admin use with Select, Insert, Update and Delete privileges and the other user just for Select queries.

According to the Plesk documentation, I should then be able to click the DB Web Admin button at the top of the screen to continue administering the database, but when I do so, the button has no function whatsoever and I remain on the same screen.

I have contacted our ISP (Easyspace, based in Glasgow) whose server Plesk is being used to administer and they are claiming that it is a problem with Plesk rather than anything at their end.

Any ideas as to what it could be?

Me too!

I'm getting the same thing, it won't let me get into PHPmyAdmin

 There I was thinking it was something more complicated than that ... never crossed my mind that Firefox blocking a pop-up window would be the source of the problem - comparatively trivial! Thanks a lot!
