  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

addons question

New Pleskian
Hello,

I have a evaluation license and have set up a Windows 2008R2 server with Plesk Panel 11
It is a clean install.

Now to my problem.

I have set up a very restricted basic subscription.
It has just about nothing in it.

Then I have made addons for mail services and web services.
Both add diskspace and add the services needed to get corresponding services running.

I make a customer, apply the Basic subscription and the mail addon.
Ok, now the customer have e-mail services.
I remove the e-mail addon and I get a question if I want to delete mailboxes to and I answer yes, all is deleted.

I do the same thing with web services.
I make a customer, apply basic subscription and apply the web services addon.
Ok, now the customer has web services. Great..
I then remove the webservices addon, and no question to delete content, no question to disable web services?
What's up with that?
Am I doing something wrong here or is it really supposed to be like that?

To actually delete the contents of the customers web I have to go into websites & domains on the customer, click on his domain name and there a change is shown, I click change and chose no hosting.
After all that I can remove the web services addon and all is as intended.
Seem to me to be a bit much work since e-mail was so easy to remover..

Another thing I've noticed.
If I want to be able to add web services the way described above.
There is another problem. I can't let them install any Applications.
That menu doesn't even exist on an addon.

So how do I set up a customer that I want to have only e-mail services.
Then after say a year the customer also want web services.
Said and done I add web services to the subscription and he can have his web, but then the subscription falls out of sync.
Also after say 4 months he don't want web services any more, how do I remove web services without the customer losing his e-mail services and possibly other services?

I just don't get it?
