after updating plesk update /var/log/messages stopp

hi there.
having "big" problems after updating my plesk 7.5.4.
i tried it now 3 times, reinstalling the whole machine, but alway that pleskupdater from März 21, 2006 installs. and it gets bold in the overview.
and from thar point there are no further messages logged in /var/log/messages.

i don't know whats wrong now. can someone help pls?
