• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue Selinux-related errors in /var/log/messages

Plesk Obsidian 18.0.71 #1
Hi, we just installed a VPS with Almalinux 8, Plesk Obsidian 18.0.71 #1, Selinux enforced. We upgraded then Mariadb to 11.4.7, enabled 360monitoring and imunify.

We're encountering a lot of continuous errors in /var/log/messages:

Jul 21 14:45:15 k1nvps05 systemd[1]: Starting SETroubleshoot daemon for processing new SELinux denial logs...
Jul 21 14:45:16 k1nvps05 dbus-daemon[743]: [system] Successfully activated service 'org.fedoraproject.Setroubleshootd'

Should we proceed based on what is suggested on these lines (i.e.: ausearch -c 'sshd' --raw | audit2allow -M my-sshd#012# semodule -X 300 -i my-sshd.pp)

Thanks.

Hi, @Kaspar . I am not entirely sure what's the exact root cause of that issue. I will need to further consult with our team and get back to you. Thank you in advance for your patience.

Hi @Kaspar

For the log from the first message - "sshd access denied to mysql.sock", most likely, the source of the error is Plesk's PAM module (sshd loads it during authentication process/session startup). PPPM-7228 correctly identified by @Sebahat.hadzhi . The error appears in audit log during/after a failed authentication attempt. Plesk's PAM module tries to access the database, if authentication fails - SELinux blocks it. This should not cause any issues, except the message in audit log.
