• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

alias for a subdomain?

Greetings.

I'm trying to create an alias for a subdomain. My hosting provider indicates that this is impossible in Plesk 8.1; I found it hard to believe so I wanted to check here.

So, if I have domain example.com,
suppose I create subdomain

usa.example.com

Then, I'd like to have three aliases to that subdomain:

www.usa.example.com
us.example.com
www.us.example.com

How do I do that in Plesk 8.1?

Thanks in advance from me and my client for any suggestions.

You would have to create the subdomain as a domain on a client account. Then you should be able to set aliases to the subdomain.

Ouch! That won't work, because my client's hosting is limited to one domain.

If that's the case, I can see why Plesk is used for reseller control panels, but not so much for account control panels.

I guess I'll put something in at suggestions and feedback. Thanks for the reply!
