Allow remote admin access to MySQL

Chris1

Regular Pleskian
Hello,

I need to allow remote admin access to MySQL for my R1Soft backups. How do I go about this?

I assume that admin is only able to connect to MySQL via localhost by default? How can I also allow admin to connect to MySQL via other remote address?

I have opened port 3306 on my firewall.

Thank you.

I've solved my problem. I accessed phpMyAdmin and added a new user for the r1soft backups and allowed connections from the host I required.
