• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Another Plesk 8 Update?

Just logged into my CP and there was another huge update to Plesk 8 today.

Just ran it with no problems. Anybody else had the update as well?

# Base packages of Plesk
# Tomcat Java Servlets support *
# Additional Plesk manuals *
# Backup utilities *
# Plesk API [former Plesk Agent] *
# Plesk migration manager *
# Plesk Firewall module *
# Plesk Counter-Strike game server module *
# Watchdog (System monitoring module) *
You mean this update?

Maybe SWsoft want's to explain why I need a "Counter-Strike game server module" on my server?

it's just a new build of 8.0.0, fixing some bugs but adding no functionality.

i'm not quite sure but i think this upgrade broke SMTP-authentication for me. when i do this:

Code:
# telnet localhost 25
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 sXXXXXXXX.onlinehome-server.info ESMTP
EHLO ix.de
250-sXXXXXXXX.onlinehome-server.info
250-STARTTLS
250-PIPELINING
250 8BITMIME
quit

... i used to also get:

Code:
250-AUTH LOGIN PLAIN

maybe no user is calling yet because i've also turned on POP3-authentication :)

I noticed the update fixed the Firefox display problems I was having.
