• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hi, I Just buy and install a server. Only for hosting, ftp, email services.

I have installed windows 2003 server web edition and Plesk 7.6.

must I install an antivir?
which one? good and cheap?
Dr Web? or this is only for emails?
An other one? AVG? Karkpesky? Avast?

Thanks a lot (and sorry for my english)

hi, placom, DR. Web is ok. Works with Plesk just fine. But if you use a mail server like Merak then I suggest to use the Merak integrated antivirus.

Regards

but to protect my server is ok Dr WEB? or it is only for mail server?

Have I install other antivir appart of Dr web?

If you use MailEnable Enterprise 2.0 you can use F-Prot anti-virus integration.

It is very cheap. Only US$ 50,00/year for 10 Windows Servers.

If you plan to buy Dr.Web it may be better buy Mail Enable Enterprise 2.0 for US$ 500,00. DrWeb costs US$ 299,00/year. In 2 years you get the ROI.

More details on www.f-prot.com and www.mailenable.com
