Apache and FD_SETSIZE on RHEL3

Hi,

I have to migrate more than 500 domains with SSL enabled from a RHL9 server to a RHEL3 server. I had the "file descriptors - too many open files" issue on the RHL9 server so I am worry this could happen again on the RHEL3 server.

What's the file descriptors limit for the standard Apache rpms packaged with RH Enterprise 3? Do I need to recompile it?
