• Debian 11 has reached its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.81 is the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Apache update from 2.2.22 to 2.2.29 from source

New Pleskian
Hello,

we have a root server with Debian 7.7 and Plesk 12. On default, Apache 2.2.22 is installed and the newest in the repository.
We think about to install Apache 2.2.29 from sources with following commands:

cd /usr/src/
wget http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/httpd-2.2.29.tar.gz
tar zxvf httpd-2.2.29.tar.gz
cd httpd-2.2.29
./configure --enable-mods-shared=all --enable-proxy=shared --enable-cache=shared --enable-disk-cache=shared --enable-mem-cache=shared
make
make install

Is version 2.2.29 compatible to work with plesk 12?
Are the configure parameter the right one to use apache with plesk? (I want to keep the apache management in plesk to enable or disable apache modules in plesk with the new version too.)

Or there are any alternatives?

Thanks
