Apache2 not restarting on Debian

Hi Forum,

I'v installed plesk 8 on a clean debian 3.1 system.
Installation went flawless, and so far everything seems to be working okay, except for one thing:

When I add a new domain, or change hosting settings for a domain, I have to manually restart apache2 for the changes to take effect, either via ssh or the plesk control panel.

Normally after making a change, plesk should take care of restarting apache2.

I checked the /var/log/apache2/error.log to see if anything happens at all when I make a change in plesk, but nada.

Any ideas why this isn't working?
