API RPC to add domans based on templates

I am trying to set it so every user created gets the mail to non-existing users set to reject, not bounce.

Can't seem to find a way through the RPC API to set it directly when adding/setting domains.. unless I missed it.

The other way I saw was to make a template which included that setting. But is there a way to add users via the API based on a template?
