ASP.Net read/write issue

I have granted ASP.Net's Network Service full permission to a sub directory in my project but I am still getting Access to the path ... is denied. After reviewing my previous installation of the project I found that I had placed log file etc, under the main domain on the server. How do I allow read/write access to my .Net 2.0 application subfolders?
