AWstats - answers not found

Hello all,

I have been around 6 hours trying to find an answer to my AWstat problem, I have read the forums and found lot of people with the same problem:

I need AWStats to display the logs from the previous months.

No answer found! Have anyone got a solution? Has SW-Soft posted something? On our server the domains are Perl enabled, Perl service extension allowed. I really need my customer to see the stats from October and november, and I have no clue how to achieve it.

Any help would be great !!

TIA,

Yes, this is a common problem and the answers so far haven't been too helpful. I have managed to generate old stats for AWStats though, there are two ways of doing it where one is a long process. To avoid that, may I know when (what date) you created the website on the server using Plesk?

Hi,

Thanks for your answer, the site was created in september, it is for an event that lasts until end november.

Any help deeply appreciated, thanks

Alright, provided that you have all the logs present in your logs directory since you created the site (without using log rotation), please follow Steps 2 and 4 on this guide I wrote a few days ago:

http://icteaswaran.blogspot.com/2006/11/migrate-old-logs-into-awstats-in-plesk.html

Basically you need to delete the stats already generated by AWstats (better to move it to another directory so that you have a backup). And then you need to edit a key in your registry before running statistics.exe (set the date to the date of creation of the website). You can contact me from the blog if you get stuck.
