• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Backup and Restore in Plesk

Spikerok

Basic Pleskian
Hello,

Hard drive on my server seems to be having some issues and needs to be replaced.. I have been always using the back up facility in Plesk but never had to restore from it.

My hosting company told me to backup all the data and they will replace hard drive urgently.

I have made backup via Plesk and I just want some confirmation that after performing a "Server configuration and content" I have all the content files for my sites, database and emails?

Once they replace the HD, i presume restore would be pretty simple and just requires me to take the backup file and use that for restore? After that all my site, databases and emails would be back us normal? and I wouldn't have to recreate each site and similar tasks?
