• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
    To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

backup cron

Hi;

I've read through the plesk backup reference manual and I understand how to make a complete backup and have successfully done that.

What I'd like to know if anyone has successfully added this as a cron task and if so how.

The sites I host are on /sda2

My backup drive is /sdb and it's mounted as /storage

Now I log into the box as root and run the command /usr/local/psa/bin/pleskbackup --all /storage/2007-04-02-all (example)

What I'd like to be able to do is keep 7 days of backups on my storage drive. Adding this to cron rewrites the same file. I'm not finding how to enable a date feature in cron so that the file would right to /storage/$timestamp-all.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Also has anyone restored from one of these backups and do we know they work? I've seen some other posts here about problems restoring from the oldstyle backup and just want to make sure.

Thanks
