  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Backup in Plesk

Hi,
I have a server with near 900 domains! Backup process takes atleast 12 hours. After it I have 13 GB psa file. As you can guess, restoring is a nightmare!
I thought that using 'back client' will solve the problem, but I didn't find it usefull.

I want a separated backup file based on clients or alphabets.

Any Idea?

Hi,
It is not really helpful in my case.
Assume that you have 3 clients in Plesk and each of them has 100 domains.
I prefer to schedule backup for each client; therefore I schedule backup for each of them and in backup manager (swsoft>backup) I select the client and set all necessary parameters for it.

The problem is that, If you select 'back up all selected domains and clients', only selected domains will be included in psc file .It's crystal clear that when you add a new domain in plesk for mentioned client, your psc file will not be updated, and your backup is not completed.

If I select 'back up all domains and clients' I'll have a backup file for all clients and domains in server!

The only possible way for this problem is providing third option like this : 'back up selected clients' . In this case domains should not be written in psc file and adding new domain will not be a problem.

You can submit feature request to support team, if developers find this option usefull it will be included in one of the future Plesk releases
