• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hello,

I installed the backup manager through the plesk updater and after trying to access the backup manager through the home menu I get this error message:

I found this thread but the error log does not show any such errors. I also have a problem with the application vault at this thread. Could they be related?

Thank you,

Check that /usr/local/psa/PMM/logs is correctly linked to /var/tmp/logs or logs is there.

There is a logs directory at /usr/local/psa/PMM/ with <archives>, migration.log and pmmcli.log inside. There is no logs directory at /var/tmp/ but there is a lot of log files in the tmp directory.

Ok. Do you have any related errors in /var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log ?

Believe it or not, the backup manager is now working as well as the application vault. When I checked /var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log at the beginning I found no errors regarding python, libxml2 or encodings.idna. If I find out what was causing these problems I will post the information here.

Ok. Update thread please with any useful information if you find it.

i have this on my error.log now :

In my /var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log:

logmng: execve failed for /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/logmng: Permission denied

File "/usr/lib64/python2.4/logging/__init__.py", line 757, in __init__
IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/usr/local/psa/PMM/logs/pmmcli.log'
2012-02-27 21:56:28: (mod_fastcgi.c.2588) FastCGI-stderr: PleskPMMResponseException: Failed to parse response. Reason: Failed to read data from stream Process output:
file: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/backup/protocol/PMMConnector.php

Its very impressive to see that after upgrade to 10.4.4 nothing works as expected in the first place.
Plesk panel, postfix and now backup added to the list.
To overcome all these issues I tend to go the hard (but hopefully easier) way and backup all my content and reinstall the machine and restore the content.
Is there anything I should take care of?

Best regards

steve
