Is there any domain backup software available that can backup to an external FTP server?

4PSA's Client Backup only backs up to the server.
 
Not sure what you are looking for, but Plesk 7.5.4r has an FTP backup per client in their C.P. and we also use a basic script as a redundent backup system with the script located in the following post:

If this works for you, be sure to follow the link in that post (if needed) showing how to limit client access to your FTP login information.
