• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Backup Tool

How this suggestion or feedback never reached you in beta testing I'll never know...

I'd like to suggest that you create a similar backup and restore tool that plesk 8 had for plesk 9.

As far as I can see there are not as many options with this new backup tool. These may be hidden somewhere in your command line, however they are not available with the GUI like plesk 8. Compare the plesk 8 GUI and the plesk 9 GUI. Why were so many options simply left out?

In plesk 8 I can make a psa using the backup tool, I can upload it to another server with plesk, I can double click that file, and then the restore tool will load allowing me to restore.

With plesk 9 you have to jump through more hoops and the results are not as impressive.

That's because there is only shell backup available, the GUI is dead. If there will be no more flexible GUI I am out.
