I'm currently managing web hosting infrastructure for an educational institution and we're facing some interesting challenges that I'd love to get the community's input on.
We're running multiple websites on Plesk - including the main college website, department portals, student information systems, and partnership program sites. As our institution grows internationally, we're dealing with:
1. **SSL Certificate Management** - With multiple domains and subdomains, what's the most efficient way to manage SSL certificates in Plesk? Are wildcard certificates better for educational institutions with many subdomains?
2. **Resource Allocation** - How do you properly allocate resources between different sites when traffic varies significantly (exam periods vs. summer)?
3. **Backup Strategy** - What backup strategies work best for educational sites that need to maintain historical records?
4. **Multi-language Support** - Any recommendations for hosting sites that need to serve content in multiple languages efficiently?
We're particularly focused on maintaining high uptime and security since we handle sensitive student data. I work with AAB College in Albania and manage multiple international partnerships.
