blank emails

The day before yesterday I found that I could not delete mail accounts. I don't know how long this had been an issue as I very rarely have to delete a mail account. I followed these instructions...

1. Stop mail service.
~# /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mailmng --stop-service

2. Backup old handlers
~# mkdir /root/temp
~# cp -a /usr/local/psa/handlers/before-* /root/temp/
~# cp -a /usr/local/psa/handlers/info /root/temp/

3. Delete all mail handlers:
~# rm -rf /usr/local/psa/handlers/before-*/*
~# rm -rf /usr/local/psa/handlers/info/*

4. Run utility mchk to recreate mail handlers:
~# /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mchk --with-spam

5. Start mail service:
~# /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mailmng --start-service

ant this seems to have fixed the problem. However, I have been recieving completely blank emails ever since. No from, no to, no subject, no body, no nothing.

I don't have mail logs to provide as (correct me if I'm wrong) Qmail doesn't generate logs and I have to use Qmail as postfix has not worked correctly with Plesk since 9.2.

Any ideas?

I know Igor is not going to help me with this as I dared to question his reply to my last thread and criticise Parallels approach to the endless problems with Plesk so I wonder if anyone else is able to help?

As possible workaround you can add user with uid 10013 to 'popuser' group (important to make it main group of user with uid 10013):

usermod -g popuser name_of_user_with_uid_10013

I was almost impressed then. I started linking to this thread all over twitter to see if I could force a response through embarrassment. I was amazed when it worked and they opened a support ticket for me as if I had paid support. This was a bit poor right from the start. They kept asking me to log in but hadn't provided me with a username or password. Eventually I filled in a form to pass on root access to my SSH. They simply looked for something third party to blame it on and dropped it. They blamed it on the so called errors in my mail log relating to Qmail-scanner, these weren't errors these were Qmail-scanner successfully blocking emails.

I have uninstalled Q-mail scanner and done...

/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mailmng --stop-service
rm -rf /usr/local/psa/handlers/before-*/*
rm -rf /usr/local/psa/handlers/info/*
/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mchk --with-spam
/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mailmng --start-service

This obviously didn't fix the problem!

I have now uninstalled Qmail and installed Postfix. I think that Postfix is a better MTA anyway but was frustrated by the ongoing issues Plesk had with it since version 9.2. Here's hoping it is working now!


EDIT - I have decided to edit this post in responce to Igors post below because I do not believe he will publish my reply.

You ignored me for over a month. You software has been full of errors in every upgrade you published since V9. I will not put up with being told to be more attentive by a fool who has ignored me for over a month.

I have instructed my solicitors to commence litigation against you for lost earning through your negligence.

I will bring this entire thread to the attention of as many hosting organisations and professionals as I possibly can.

You are rude, incompetent and unprofessional at a level I would have thought impossible.

Get your staff to log out of my server immediately, they are to stay out, any further access will be seen as illegal hacking and will be reported to the police.

Further EDIT - Igor, the crux of my case against you is that you release updates for software that clearly break the software and then charge for support to fix it. The entire business model is dubious and my solicitor believes it to be illegal, bordering on fraudulent. Today information on Parallels activities have been passed to the British OFT (Office of Fare Trade) Via The Department for Trading Standards. A letter has been sent to your directors and if no response is received within 7 days a case will be submitted to the British courts as my solicitor feels that enough communication and prior notice will have occurred.
