• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

I just got this server up and running and now I can't even login into Plesk.

When I try to access to login page I get a 403 error "You don't have permission to access / on this server."

Any suggestions?

Of course I've done the basic stuff as far as restarting the server and PSA manually.

The permisions on the
/usr/local/psa/admin/htdocs

directory are not correct. Reinstalling the psa base RPM package will help.

Any tips on how to reinstalling the psa base RPM package?

The following is based on a RedHat 9 box, if you are on a different OS, there will be a bit of a difference. When posting it's always a good idea to provide some information like OS, current version of Plesk, etc.

CD to the directory where the base Plesk rpm is. It should be in a directory named psa/PSA_7.5.4/rpm_RedHat_9/base. Then run:

#rpm -Uvh --force psa-7.5.4-rh9.build75050824.12.i586.rpm

So I'm running Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 3 (Taroon Update 1)

And I found it but I'm not to sure which one to cd into-

rpm:
/bin/rpm
/etc/rpm
/usr/lib/rpm
/usr/share/man/man8/rpm.8.gz

I was advised that this is not such an easy task-

any suggestions
