• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Bug: webmail dns record removed when you select 3rd pary webmail

Has anyone else noticed, and better yet found a solution to this problem?

We registered a 3rd party webmail application in a plesk 11.09 install which was fine. However when clients change the webmail selection from one of the built in options Horde or Atmail to the 3rd pary one we registered plesk removes the webmail.<domain> CNAME record - Why?!?!? Even adding webmail.<domain> record to servers default template doesn't help. As soon as you select something other than horde or atmail plesk removes the webmail record. Can someone for parallels kindly explain the logic behind this "feature"?

Also has anyone else gotten a 3rd party webmail application working side by side with horde? I don;t mean replace horde i'm reffering to having both working so customer can select which one they want from plesk panel. Currently when people type webmail.<domain> they wither get host not found due to missing dns records and even once thats fixed they just get plesk default page. Looks like theres a lot more to getting this working than just installing and registering it with plesk.

Anyone?
