• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
    With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

C++ scripts

Sorry for stupid question but does Plesk's vhosts can use C++ scripts?

Do you mean CGI scripts? I'm not aware of a way to run raw C++ code as any kind of script; you'd need to compile it first.

Plesk runs CGI scripts, in the cgi-bin folder.

I am not assured that correctly has asked a question, but the client wants "Perl, Php, Python and C++" and I do not know what to answer about C ++

^)

They want a shell account on your machine, so they can compile programs.

Ohh. me looser ^)

So. Second question.
Does plesk chrooted shell сan give it necessary functionality ( awk, c++, sh scripts etc) ?

I dont know, I've never tried it and dont want to. I never give shell access to any users on any "shared hosting" machines; I think it's too high of a risk (for me anyway). If they want/need shell access, they can get a dedicated hosting box (imho).

i think full shell is too dangerous, but chrooted shell - not.

need to make more tests before ^)
