  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Can I encrypt a string to be later used as password?

Ramiro Araujo

New Pleskian
I'm being forced to directly write in the `psa.BackupsSettings` table in order to setup backups for new domains from CLI, and also make those backups available in the UI. I find that the CLI tool works fine, but afterwards the backedup content is not accessible from the Plesk admin, because the FTP settings were not saved as "FTP Backup" settings for the domain.
I think I should be able to populate the BackupsSettings table with the correct data, but FTP passwords are being saved encrypted, and I cannot find the proper encryption tool nor indications on how to do it properly.

Any help is highly appreciated
Thanks!
