  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Can I have web hosting in Windows Plesk box and Email working on Linux Plesk?

AlejandroL

New Pleskian
I am planning to have both a Windows and a Linux Plesk server, however I was wondering if I can mix services for a domain in both Windows and Linux boxes, so I can host email accounts in the Linux Plesk box and the web services in the Windows box, so I don´t need to install email services in the Windows server.

Yes, you can use mailserver on Linux server as external mailserver for outgoing emails on Windows server. But it will be difficult to synchonize ane changes in hosting between two servers. Centralized management server is necessary. In this case look at Odin Plesk Automation product.
