  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Can I upgrade directly from 8.3 to 8.6?

Can I go directly from 8.3 to 8.6? Or do I need to go to 8.4 in the middle?

This is, of course, using the automated updaters in the admin section.

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply, but I'm not sure if I was missing the sarcasm tags or not.

Can I go directly from 8.3 to 8.6 using the GUI updater in Plesk? Or do I need to go to 8.4 first then to 8.6?

If I go directly to 8.6 will I need to do manual fixes as you seem to imply? or is 8.6 not ready for primetime yet and manual fixes are the norm?

I don't have time to tweak and fiddle with Plesk, I just need it to work...but I'm very intrigued by the integrated billing and want to have that feature. Thus I want 8.6 but not if it's going to screw up the rest of my customers' stuff.

Thanks.

Hello,

I've never done it using the GUI updater, but I've done it manually (download the tar.gz from the site, and install the RPMs) and everything worked fine.
