Trying to get my head around this new install.

Used RPM to install the SB, noted that it showed up in Plesk CP.

Tried to set username and password for admin, but will not work, says to make sure this address resolves in DNS....

On my server websites are created in /var/www/vhosts, yet the install put SB in /usr/local/sitebuilder.... so I am not sure how the server is suppose to access this over the web....

Anyone able to shed any light?

    similar problem...

    I have a similar issue...
The SiteBuilder install directory (which it chose) is /usr/local/sitebuilder.. in there is htdocs directory with ServiceFacade folder

when sitebuilder didn't run & after searching the forums the /usr/local/psa/bin/sitebuilder.sh -s command was used to set external url to what CP (& sb_config) expects : http://sitebuilder.domain.net/ServiceFacade.

That url is a subdomain found at /var/www/vhosts/domain.net/subdomains/sitebuilder that contains the plesk file skeleton but not, of course, the files in the /usr/local/.../ServiceFacade directory.

when trying to config in the CP by adding uid & psw I get this error...

"Error: Unable to retrieve the information from the Sitebuilder system:
    SOAP-ERROR: Parsing WSDL: Couldn't load from 'http://sitebuilder.ttxw2.net/ServiceFacade/SystemWebService.asmx?WSDL' "

More confusing to me... is that the structure of /usr/local/sitebuilder/htdocs/ServiceFacade contains .asmx files in that directory but also has sitebuilder 4.0, 4.1 & 4.5 folders which contain them.

So how do I point things such that SiteBuilder will work?

When I browse http://sitebuilder.ttxw2.net/ it outputs default Plesk page for me, so it looks like you have created subdomain in Plesk and that's why Plesk apache configuration is used here.
Actually, Sitebuilder should use it's own apache configuration and here http://sitebuilder.ttxw2.net/ Sitebuilder wizard should be accessible. In this case DocumentRoot directory for Sitebuilder will be not /var/www/vhosts/domain.net/subdomains/sitebuilder but proper /usr/local/sitebuilder/htdocs. After that ServiceFacade link will also work fine for integration.

In this case I can suggest you to remove this subdomain, after that configure Sitebuilder according to installation guide http://download1.parallels.com/SiteBuilder/4.5.0/doc/install/en_US/html/index.htm -> Configuring Plesk Sitebuilder after Installation and after that perform integration part.

Dmitry, thanks! that makes sense. You were correct I created it. I removed the subdomain which fixed one issues. now. the DNS won't resolve. however setting up an A record can't be done immediately as the DNS services via CP are one of the things that didn't install in my upgrade to 9.0.1. (I've made other posts regarding that topic). so on a domain basis, I have no DNS control thru the CP at the moment. well - BIND but I am no proficient there. I will confirm this resolution as soon as I solve the top level install.
