Resolved Cannot ftp

Hi,
I created an ftp user as per Plesk video, but cannot access anything,
The log from Filezilla is:

2022-01-20 15:59:32 15896 1 Status: Selected port usually in use by a different protocol.
2022-01-20 15:59:32 15896 1 Status: Connecting to x.x.x.x:21...
2022-01-20 15:59:32 15896 1 Response: fzSftp started, protocol_version=11
2022-01-20 15:59:32 15896 1 Command: open "[email protected]" 21
2022-01-20 15:59:32 15896 1 Error: Could not connect to server
2022-01-20 15:59:32 15896 1 Status: Waiting to retry...
2022-01-20 15:59:37 15896 1 Status: Connecting to x.x.x.x:21...
2022-01-20 15:59:37 15896 1 Response: fzSftp started, protocol_version=11
2022-01-20 15:59:37 15896 1 Command: open "[email protected]" 21
2022-01-20 15:59:37 15896 1 Error: Could not connect to server

I can telnet to it, but LS doesn't work



There isn't anything in services management that mentions ftp:



Any ideas what I can do to access it through Filezilla? Filemanager through Plesk works fine. Thanks!

For anyone reading this with the same issue - if you are also using Lightsail, then this article sorted it for me.

You can restart the ftp service with

service xinetd status
