cannot install php

I have plesk 10.4.4
on my VPS through Rackforce

I only use plesk, I do not use nor do I know how to go into the root and use SSH

so I am limited here

I have the latest update also
but if I try to install a certain PHP application in plesk from the vault
I get an error saying:
Cannot install applications: This application cannot be installed because its installation requirements are not met.
Required PHP extension mysql is not available

(I hope I can install it manually without doing it from plesk)

anyway

I read elswhere that parallels would take care of this issue oin their updates but it looks like they have not

what do I do?

forget installing using plesk, and do it the old fashion way , which I cannot do anyway?
I know how to install cgi but not php

the whole idea of plesk apps is to be able to do it automatically
but it seems I am not the only one with this issue

I read thread

yes I read that article

but it says that the resolution is:

"Disable the rewrite during the web application installation, and it should work fine."

I do not know how to do that? In my original post, I say I do not use SSH

can I 'disable rewrite' from Plesk? where?

found it but cannot find phpbook 1.50 admin

I finally see what the above post resolution means

it was the rewrite in my htaccess redirect

I temporarily turned that off
and was able to install

but.......I cannot see any administrators access to the guestbook's admin panel

app admin and owner permissions

my app works as I said in post above
but I have to access the admin panel for it externally

nowhere in plesk can I gain access

what plesk says is an 'admin' link is the same as the public access link

any ideas?

2) I can change user account permissions for control panels under a certain owner
but I cannot seem to change permissions for an owner's main control panel.

the owners name is always greyed out


is there a place where I can edit owner's control panel permissions?
