Cannot login FTP (all Users)

Hi,

since one day i have a big Problem: all Users can't log in with FTP. They always get an 530 error message. (530 Login incorrect)

When i look in the var/log/messages there is an error, that the user isn't found. But the users exist.

It worked all fine, since one day.

Can it be, that it is a problem caused of the OpenSSL installation at this night?

I hope some1 knows, what i need to do, to repair the ftp service.

My current System is Suse 9.1 Plesk 7.5.3.

thx a lot

The FTP users are checked against /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow as they are system users. Are you sure that they really exist on your system and they were not deleted?

thats it.... /bowdeepdown

/etc/shadow was deleted by Yast (<-- that *****, lol)

thx again for ur help :)

Solution to cannot login FTP (all Users)

Just type:
#pwconv

MAN:
pwconv creates shadow from passwd

done its working ! it created a shadow file that was missing.
