Issue Cannot login root?

Almalinux 8
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.57 #5
I changed the root password using `passwd`. I am able to log into SSH using this new password just fine. But I cannot seem to log into Plesk with the root account. Any idea what is going on? I can log into admin just fine.
