• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Cannot remove SSL from sub domain

Basic Pleskian
Hi All,

I've come across a problem with an SSL certificate on my server. I need to remove it from my server completely and re-issue it with GeoTrust, however I go in to my subdomain "secure.domain.com" and disable SSL... Then go to the website certificate list, but it still shows uses = 1

How can I find out what other domain name has it selected?

I need to get this done urgently as it affects a payment area of my main site :(

Cheers in advance

Drew

why don't you just update the certificate in the panel?

normally, if you want to reissue a certificate - you send a CSR File and a KEY file to the trusting company
and they will send you back a CRT file.
You don't even need to change your KEY or CSR file if nothing has changed - just use the old ones.

In Plesk just go to the Admin-Panel > Tools & Settings > Certificates
search for your certificate and enter it.
Now upload the CRT file.
If the KEY file did not change - you only need the new CRT file to be uploaded.

Once uploaded - the certificate ist changed.

So no need to disable SSL in the subscription or to delete it.
