• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

cannot restart plesk

Dear All,

Recently I realised that I am not able to login into plesk control panel.
I logged in (remote) on to my server and saw that plesk was disabled.

I went to Start-> All Programs -> Parallels -> Plesk -> Plesk Services Monitor

and restarted plesk and everything was OK for a month.

Now I see that I cannot login into plesk again as it is disabled. I went ahead and repeated the step above.

This time, it gets enabled but again gets disabled in about 20 to 30 seconds.

I asked by hosting support to do it for me and they sent me this.

At this time, we are not able to start Plesk on your server. We were unable to find any errors for this issue in the event viewer on your server but did receive the following error when attempting to start Plesk :
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

Can some one please help me?

Prasad.

Hi,

It is not clear which service can not start from your description.
Anyway, try to change Plesk panel web engine from IIS to Apache as described in this article

http://kb.odin.com/en/2151

All services are running except the control panel service (the first one in the list). This cannot be restarted.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Prasad.
