• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Cannot see trial site

Hello,

Got another issue:

I've created a trial web site, on the last step (Publish) got a message that this site can be viewed for 30 days at the temporary URL. Go to this URL - get "Page not found" error.

What do I need to do to make a temporary site viewable?

I would appreciate your help.

Thank you,

Peter

I guess I can partially answer my own question. I think I missed this step during installation:

You also need to configure the DNS settings so that all addresses, such as http://siteidentifier.sitebuilder.your_domain.com, referred to the address http://sitebuilder.your_domain.com. This is necessary for all web sites created by your customers to be available as trial sites at temporary addresses. For example, customer's sites, such as site1.sitebuilder.your_domain.com, site2.sitebuilder.your_domain.com, site3.sitebuilder.your_domain.com... should point to the http://sitebuilder.your_domain.com address.

Do you know how should I do this?

Thank you,

Peter
