Can't access adminpage

RDrake

New Pleskian
Plesk 9.3.0 Ubuntu 8.04 93110722.10

If I try to access the adminpage via SSL (https, port 8443), the connection times out
The last lines of the error log are all the same:
(connections.c.299) SSL: 1 error:140780E5:SSL routines:SSL23_READ:ssl handshake failure

Would appreciate any hints =)

thanx for the link. I already came across this article already.

However, meanwhile I think that the line from the error log is related to my problem.

When trying to access the Parallels Plesk control panel in the browser, the connection simply times out. Other SSL-connections work.
Also, sw-cp-serverd is up and running:
/etc/init.d/psa status
sw-cp-serverd is running...

I have no idea why the server doesn't answer. Please advise.
Thanx

I still have no real idea, why the admin panel doesn't load. However, I noticed that the httpsd.conf and httpsd.conf.def are both empty. But why?

Hi RDrake,

The files httpsd.conf and httpdsd.conf.def were used by the admin panel in Plesk 8.6 when it was Apache based, I don't believe they are used in Plesk 9. In fact my Plesk 9 doesn't have them at all (clean install, not an upgrade).

Have you tried restarting sw-cp-serverd and/or a server restart (if thats viable)? I'm pretty sure we've resolved this with one or the other in the past.

Failing that, does connecting on port 8880 without SSL work?

Paul.

I already restarted the server several times and yesterday I performed an update to 9.5.4, yet I couldn't access the control panel.

Howerver, meanwhile I figured out that my hoster blocked the ports in the firewall .... and fixed it.
