Issue Can't add a Let's encrypt certificate

blondie63

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Debian 12.5
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian 18.0.68
In my Plesk I have 24 domains that use only the mail service and everything works perfectly!
On 23 I added the Let's Encrypt certificate without problems but on one, it is not possible! Without any error message, it simply does not enable the "Get it for free" button
How is this possible?
Is it a bug?
Has anyone had the same problem?

As long as your domain does not resolve to the server's IP you cannot obtain a certificate.
In this case Plesk return an alert on top right BUT in my case the button is disabled !
And, believe me, i set my DNS before ask a new certificate !

Hello, @blondie63 . When you say the domain names use mail service only, do you mean they are configured with "No web hosting" type? If the subscriptions are configured as regular hosting, the issue typically occurs if SSL/TLS support is disabled:

Hi, yes i mean that ! But it's strange that i've added 22 domains all set as "No web hosting" type and i've created certificate without problems !
As workaround i've enabled weh hosting, create certificate for webmail, then disable web hosting..

I also think that Plesk should not put this limit since it allows to create "Mail Hosting" subscriptions and in any case it should warn the user instead of disabling the button and disorienting the user, don't you think?
Regards

Please note that this was just a guess as I was not a 100% sure how your subscriptions are configured. Since you have them set as "No web hosting", that shouldn't be the reason for the issue. There's likely something different in the configuration of that particular subscription you are unable to install the SSL for. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the behavior on a test server, in order to submit a report for further investigation, regardless of what combination of setting I try. If you have the option, I would recommend opening a support ticket for further investigation. If not and the issue reoccurs what I can suggest is enabling the Plesk debug mode and check if any errors are logged into panel.log.

As for your remark, I agree that simply greying out the button could be confusing for users. We already have a bug report (EXTLETSENC-871) to improve the behavior and include a notice that clarifies SSL/TLS support is disabled for the subscription.
