Resolved Can't connect to server over SSH

Putty has failed to connect to my server, i have disabled the firewall and also fail2ban yet nothing is happening

Maybe you have an additional firewall before the server, e.g. a service that the hosting provider operates?

There is none am aware off, maybe i will restart the server and see

rebooting seems to have worked and yet i have no idea what caused it
