  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved Can't login with Plesk URL as admin

KZM

Basic Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 18
Plesk version and microupdate number
18
I have recently upgraded Plesk but can only log with my root account using the IP adress.
When i use the url to logon as root it does now work. The URL points to the same IP

Any advice how to solve this?

Hi,

Let me explain better.

If I use <my IP>:8443 I can login successfully with all accounts
However, if I use a subdomain https://mydomain.com:8443/ that points to the same IP, I cannot log in
There is no error anything; tried in both Edge and Chrome

In Plesk, I have set Full hostname to Web Hosting, Domain Name Registration - MyDomain.com and also Customizing Plesk URL to the same.

This is a setup that I also use on another Plesk server which is still working.

It looks strange because "Customizing Plesk URL" not take away the possibility to log in to Plesk via port 8443.

When you open https://mydomain.com:8443, do you see a login form? Any error in Plesk logs (with enabled debug, https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213408889-How-to-enable-disable-Plesk-debug-mode)? Any errors in browser's dev console? Antiviruses, Anti-adware software?
It's a very strange behavior; just looks like a simple reload of the page --> Navigated to https://mydomain.com/login_up.php?success_redirect_url=/smb/
Nothing strange in logs
Browser dev console: Unchecked runtime.lastError: The message port closed before a response was received.

@KZM that does sound strang. Just to get a better understanding of the issue, did you try to use another browser and even other device (like a smartphone or another computer) to rule out any issues with your browser (and plugins you might be using) or your AV/security software?
