Hi,
if i hit yum remove php-cli-5.2.6-1.el4.art.i386 i get a list with 70+ application that must be uninstalled also and within the list are psa products/modules etc ..

just do a rpm -e --nodeps php-cli-5.2.6-1.el4.art.i386 and for any other php package that it may complain aobut. This will only remove that package, and then you can use yum to re-install it when your done

yum -y install php-cli
